FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS ON SAN ANTONIO & BEYOND:
A PREPAID PASS TO MUSEUMS AND ATTRACTIONS
FAQ's (frequently asked questions)
Question: Can I buy a San Antonio & Beyond Pass at a participating museum or attraction?
Answer: Not at this time, but we will be enabling some of the museums and attractions to offer that service to you in the future. The easiest way to buy your pass is PRINT AT HOME and bring with you before you start your trip to the San Antonio area. Go to www.SanAntonioTourism.com and purchase at the convenience of your home or office with your credit card.
Question: What if I am in San Antonio for a convention and decide to buy one at the last minute?
Answer: You can go to the Visitor Center at 317 Alamo Plaza and purchase your pass with a credit card.
Question:Do we need to purchase separate passes for each person in the family or group?
Answer: Yes, each person requires a separate San Antonio & Beyond Pass for admission.
Question:When does the pass gets activated?
Answer: Each pass is valid for up to 7 consecutive days from your first visit to an attraction or museum.
Question:Does an un-used San Antonio & Beyond Pass ever expire?
Answer: Yes, unused San Antonio & Beyond Passes expire 1 year following the date of purchase.
Question:My printer ran out of ink or malfunctioned while printing my passes. May I print it/them more than once?
Answer: es, you may. Just go to the email you received and link to the passes to reprint. However, two people will not be able to use the same pass if you make a duplicate. Each pass has a unique barcode that is recognized by a scanner at each venue. The scanners will not allow the same pass to be used more than once at each venue. The scanners will read if the pass has already been used.
Question:Can a lost San Antonio & Beyond Pass be replaced?
Answer: Please safeguard your pass. A lost or stolen pass cannot be replaced. It is like losing your gift certificate or cash.
Question:Does the San Antonio & Beyond allow for return visitation to a museum or attraction?
Answer: No. Pass holders may visit each attraction only once.
Question:Are passes good for special events?
Answer: No. The pass is valid for general admission only. If a museum has a special traveling exhibit, that’s an additional charge paid at the participating museum. Normally that would be posted as a special exhibit or special limited showing. In this situation, you have the general admission paid, but you must pay the “add on” for the special exhibit. Examples of special exhibits include an IMAX special showing and the Witte Museum’s “Our Body” exhibit.
Question:What happens if my Print at Home paper ticket gets wet and it is hard to scan the “barcode”?
Answer: You can bring that paper ticket and the number of that barcode can be put in the system and input it. That number appears at the bottom of each print at home ticket.
Question:What if I have more questions?
